Purposes of processing

Brugse Boekhandel collects and processes its clients' personal data to manage customers and orders (including customer administration, follow-up of orders/deliveries, invoicing, checking credit-worthiness, profiling and sending marketing and personalised advertising material).

Legal basis for processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1 of the Belgian General Data Protection Regulation (consent). Clients always have the right to withdraw consent previously given.

Retention period

Personal data processed for customer administration will be retained as long as necessary to comply with legal requirements (including accounting requirements).

Right of access, right to rectification, to erasure, to restrict and to object to processing, and to data portability

Clients have the right of access to their personal data at all times and to have them rectified if they are inaccurate or incomplete, to have them erased, to restrict and to object to the processing of their own personal data on the basis of article 6.1(e) or (f), including profiling on the basis of these provisions.
